Linden yelled “NO” at me when I told him it was bath time so I asked him if he’d like to take a shower. Naturally, he loved it and so, naturally, he started yelling at me when it was time to get OUT of the shower. But it really was time to get out of the shower because, hello, there’s that whole water shortage thing we have her in TEXAS so I wrapped him in a towel and took him to his room to put his pajamas on. He kicked me while I was putting his diaper on and told me “NO” like a broken record through a mouth full of toothpaste so even though I hated to do it, and I warned him about it first, I put him to bed without books. I’m glad he cares about books and I probably need to find a different discipline tactic but I stuck to my guns and put him to bed without reading tonight.
Then he told me I was not his best friend :/
